Director's Order #10A and associated Reference Manual #10A supersedes and replaces
NPS Guideline #10, "Preparation of Design and Construction Drawings," (Release
No. 3, August, 1995).

Director's Order #10A sets forth basic requirements and can be found
electronically at www.nps.gov/refdesk.  The associated Reference Manual #10A
provides specific information and graphic examples of drawing requirements.

Reference Manual #10A is in PDF format.  The Adobe Acrobat Reader is required
for viewing and printing.  (www.adobe.com)

Printing Reference Manual 10A:

The are two different sheet sizes within Reference Manual #10A - 8.5"x11" for
the text and 11"x17" for drawing samples.  Drawings were produced to print at
11"x17" to represent drawing standards meeting half size legibility requirements.

Some printers may not have the capability of recognizing two different sheet
sizes within one document, so printing Reference Manual #10A in its entirety may
produce drawings at 8.5"x11".

Print set-up 'fit to page' will print the entire document at 8.5"x11", including
drawings.

To print drawings at 11"x17", print separately, using page numbers and/or page
ranges, resetting the necessary printing properties to 11"x17", landscape
orientation, and short side for duplex printing.
